Who - Ron and Julie

Julie -
1) Suburi
a) before you start kata, suburi ,or kihon practice, take a deep breath and relax. Don't fidget, relax
b) when you cut, listen for hasuji. If there is no hasuji, you're not really cutting
c) try to keep one consistent grip. if your grip keeps changing so will your angle of the sword
d) make a proper koiguchi
e) don't hop when you cut

2) Kata
a) please remember kata
b) big cuts
c) try to stay the same height rather than going up and down

Ron -
1) Suburi/kata
a) when doing chiburi, left hand should go to obi
b) keep your shoulders down, neck back
c) try to keep your shoulders squared, especially when you tsuki
d) keep the left foot and right steps the same
e) don't drop your tip

It is very interesting that it is very difficult to relax. I learned so much for this class.
