Who - Dan, Daiki, Ron, Henry

Todays class was focused on some of the cutting aspects of kata. Of course you should be able to cut from kata, otherwise there is no point.

Nukitsuke - Especially kata one because it is somewhat awkward from the left leg being in front. However because of that the timing is thrown off a bit. While doing it with right leg front is obviously more natural. To make the cut work however is throwing the point out, timing of the body and sword, and most of all proper hasuji.

For the second kata, the most important thing is to keep your center line towards the target. Your shoulders should be squared towards the target or the focal point of your cut will off to the side

For the third kata, if you draw and tsuki from the hips, you should go straight.

For the fifth kata, timing of feet and sword is the most important otherwise it is a very simple kesa

Additional cuts
Daiki - timing of your sword and feet have to be synonymous to each other. Can't have one or the other

Henry - First cut first

Ron - First cut first

Daiki payed Ron 70 dollars for mats

Sang cut 3
Henry cut 3
Ron cut 3
Daiki cut 3
