Checked Ron's Toyama Kata
Kata 3
a) remember to tsuki!
Kata 4
a) if you're tsuka gets caught in your sleeve, just extend your hand out, and the tsuka will come out
Kata 6
a) the focus up til the 3rd step on the enemy in front of you
b) remember to draw with the second step
c) after the 1st cut, turn your head first to lead the second cut
Kata 7
a) breathe in going up to jodan, and breathe out going down to seigan
b) make sure you look before you cut
Kata 8
a) bring the point around as if you're gonna tsuki behind you
Worked with Ron on Chuden seitei kata
Kata 1
a) nukitsuke on kata 1, the kissaki should be a little bit higher than your hand
b) cut big and use nice long steady steps to lead into the second cut
c) keep your head level, no bouncing
Kata 2
a) draw sideways instead of in front of you
b) take a good breath going into waki kamae
c) use you hips to cut
Kata 3
a) the nukitsuke is a slight kesa
b) breathe in going into jodan
Kata 4
a) nukitsuke should be high enough to cut the wrist
b) nice big steps, no shuffle step
c) big cuts
d) step with seigan

a) needs to work on lowering center of body
b) needs to keep the front leg bent
c) kissaki should be nodo level in chudan
d) RELAX
e) wider stance
