Henry worked with Andy on kata and suburi
Worked with Ron on chuden kata 1-5 and then taught him kata 6
Kata -
a) equal length of steps. You tend to take smaller steps when leading with the left foot
b) in chuden kata 1, the first cut is a sui hei, and also the tip is higher than the hand
c) when cutting gedan during kata, make sure your feet are set first before you cut. It looks sloppy otherwise
d) when you do cut gedan, cut from the top of your head rather than the side of your head
e) keep your head and shoulders back. Fix it in your head and your body will eventually follow.
